Job Description:
Production manager role for manufacturing activities for the RMS
Diné facility located in Farmington, New Mexico. The
Manufacturing Manager III reports to the Plant Site Manager for the
daily management and directions of more than 50-60 hourly and salaried
employees in the manufacture of harness and electromechanical assemblies
for multiple missile programs. Responsibilities include the management
of program and production schedules as well as direct communications
with multiple program customers and senior on-site customer leaders.
Accountability includes cost, budgets, proposals, schedule, on time
delivery, quality, safety, employee development, hiring, etc.
Required Skills
- The successful candidate must posses 8 -10 years of proven leadership
ability in leading a state-of-the-art highly technical production and
manufacturing environment including the implementation of "lean
manufacturing" processes.
- Requires at least eight (8 -10) years of Missile design and
development activities including experience in a leadership and
management role with demonstrated people development/mentoring skills
and experience working in teams

Ability to develop, communicate, implement tactical plans

Ability to foster collaboration between functional organizations and
affect integrated solutions

Able to keep team members focused on schedule milestones and objectives
and must motivate teams to develop cost effective, customer-oriented
solutions and approaches

Experience in working with customers and professionally representing the
company in the customer community.

Candidate must be able to anticipate production/manufacturing/market
influences on the business and come up with sound business approaches to
meet the challenges

Highly effective Good verbal/written communication skills

Ability to listen, ask the right questions

Ability to successfully balance conflicting demands

Proficient in Power Point, Word, Excel, and Project.

Overtime and travel required.
Desired Skills:
-
Significant experience working in a defense contracting or
aerospace industry.

RMS Cost Account Manager certified.

Prior experience in managing a culturally diverse workforce a plus.
Required Education(including Major):
Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
